1st September 2023...Moorish gecko?

We thought we saw a gecko earlier in the year, but this one was close enough to photograph.

To give you some idea of size, here it is

in the veranda.

1st September 2023...the bedroom ceiling saga continues!

We have bought some "Papier paint" it's a woven fibre glass sheeting, applied to walls and ceilings which you can paint.....this will cover up any lumps and bumps of plaster!

Here is Dave applying the glue to the ceiling...yes it is pink, it goes white as it dries...

30th August 2023...The mosquito 🦟 trap.

We finally bought the mosquito trap.

Only thing is ...it makes quite a bit of noise!!

But it sure catches the tiger mosquito 🦟🦟🦟 which is what we want it to do 😁

27th August 2023...now that's a bridge!

Just trying to leave Montpellier and took a wrong turn (sound familiar Mike?) This is when Dave screeched to a halt....2.5 height on this one!😱😱😱

A bridge that looked interesting, but lead to a bridge only 2.8 meters high... Dave wasn't willing to risk it!

The city of chocolate, Valrhona..just before leaving Tain , luckily they were open on Sunday this time of year.

Must have been a rally for old trucks as we saw this many...and more.

17th August 2023... Carla's birthday treat.

We took Carla to "Aux saveurs d'autan" in Mazamet.

One of the most beautiful vegetarian restaurants I've everr seen, more like a little english tea shop, crossed with gourmet restaurant..... fabulous food, quaint surroundings and china and pottery to die for. Then the shop part has every tea, sauce, spice that you could imagine.

12 August 2023...Fete du Fils at La Bastide

I went with Valerie and Carla to the fete du fils ..we had a lovely day, dispite the not so good repas. Bought lots of material, and patterns for bags.
