29th September 2023. Pumpkin and new lampshades

Here is our biggest one so far.. now soup!

New lampshades

27th September A day out in Narbonne.

Called in at Emmaus, needed a picture frame, some material, some lamp shades, and a wide necked glass jar.

We came out with all 4 and nothing else 🤣😂🤣  it can be done!

This was the frame , which included all these photos, I put this picture on my local and a Narbonne Facebook page. 

Within 2 days a guy got in touch and asked me for them, he lost them in a house move and they date back to 2004.....rather than send them, he has invited us to visit the vineyard that he is now managing on the coast!

No rush we'll go one day.

We treated ourselves to an Indian meal at

 Le Palais de Indre 

Mine was dhal and pea and cheese curry

Vegetarian samosa, deep fried very hot chillies , and pakora.

24th September 2023. Almost finished bedroom ceiling.A deer and Plants!

Almost finished the ceiling...now for the rearrangement of the bed and drawers.

23rd September 2023 Autumn ladies tresses.

Found these in our garden ..they are a sort of orchid called Autumn ladies tresses.

So delicate, beautiful consideration the lack of rain (ongoing) and there are quite a few of them.

14th September 2023. Water warning and mushroom cloud!

Local water is getting very short notice....

Slowly getting colder, mummy mantis is looking for a good nesting place.

11th September 2023... mushrooms !

Mushrooms are starting, this is a parasol, coumelle or St Michael depending where you are in France. Absolutely delicious 😋

10th September 2023... swimming at St Chinian

We were taken to a restaurant in St Chinian which used to be the municipal swimming pool, so as long as you eat something there, you can have a free swim as well!

We ate in this cute Chinese cabin..... as it was so hot....(30°C)....

And swam in this, with only one other couple there, it's hard to believe this treasure is hidden away in St Chinian!

S/He was in the garden, but ran off when it saw us....however not too far!
