23rd October 2022 ...Dave's Birthday

Happy Birthday Dave!

Just to show how tired we were, we had Dave's birthday meal at Le Moulin.....none of us took photos!

22nd October 2022...First day back in Cailho

Last day away from home, and first day back in Cailho.

The road ahead looks very wet.Storms are promised for tomorrow.

21st October 2022...Palomos Spain

Palomós to Laroque des Albères

Here is Van, parked up at Palomós.

The story last night is...

 there is a highly recommend

 Thai curry house in town.

We decice to go 😁😁😁

Dave pushes me about 2kms downhill mostly, but still hard work.

We arrive at Thai Palomós...we are full he says, we ask if there is somewhere he can recommend...no we have no room we are full he insists.😈☹️😈

So we have a nice pizza at a quite posh Italian restaurant on the seafront.

Then order a taxi back to the campsite!

Expensive evening for something that was available at the campsite restaurant...🤣😂🤣

We stop at La Jonquera for lunch and shopping...

Well, well a thai restaurant, which is not full!!

Not the best welcome back sign, but we are on the b road.

So now more fun is afoot.

We belong to a group called camping carparks. You sign up (about 20e per year) and are given an app, which tells you where these carparks are, they are completely no frills...water, electricity, sewage disposal and wi-fi are all you get, but parking is only 12-15e per night.

We decide to book one at Laroque as its on the way home, and we just want to sleep (and blog!) Dave books and pays for the space which you can do in advance, then accidentally puts in the WRONG camping carpark into his GPS! We are bombing along the road and I say, this is very near Argelès, "oh it is " he says......we pass a broken down bus...and comment on the drivers bad luck...shortly after we see a speed camera fortunately pointing away from us as it flashes.....just after this Dave realises his error, we stop and discover its only 19km away so, still not far, but back the way we came. Dave is not a happy bunny to have made this error, and motors along the road to get back to where we were 15 mins ago.... forgetting the SPEED CAMERA...😱😱😱

YES IT FLASHED.📸

We finally get to the right camping carpark site, and now dave can't work the machine to raise the barrier, he has booked and paid...but somehow he ends up putting more money on our pass card...then he realises that he has been waving the passcard at the keypad, not the card reader.

👹👹👹

He's very tired
