4th April 2021

Ollas ( Google it !) are very expensive pots which are sunk into the ground and filled with water, which slowly filters out through the terracotta.
I thought I'd have a go at making my own!
Ollas about 40 euros,
Home made 2.20 euros !

I used mastic to glue a piece of old flat tile to bung up the hole....(!)

Mastic into the hole to really seal it.

20 cent plate, from charity shop...

Dave sunk 3 in the ground next to the rhubarb. We will fill them with water tomorrow when the mastic is set....and hope the water lasts a week.
He also built these little walls to help keep the moisture in over summer.
