Meanwhile Buster tries to escape and throws Dave's sock boxes off the shelves.

28th January 2026... Garden Wall

During all the rain (which is having a day off 😂) we had a mini landslide which covered some of the foundations which Bérenger and Dave had put in.

Dave went to fetch more ironwork.

Bérenger continues with clearing the landslide and puts in the first row of blocks, not finishing until after dark and 7pm!

Looking good the next morning.

27th January 2026... Dave in hospital

Dave had an intervention (angiogram )to cauterise a part of his heart that is causing a problem.

Day surgery...left here by taxi 6h15 returned by taxi 15h30

Here is his lunch of pizza, celeriac salad, compote, bread roll and cheese!

Op was not the one he was expecting, but that's a long story!!

23rd January 2026.. Charlie

Seems we have only taken pictures of Charlie for days 😱 the vet asked us to send her updates....it's still pouring with rain, even thunder one day...flooding in Béziers and surrounding villages...we are ok, but everything is wet 🥴

He is certainly getting better 👍

He celebrated having his collar off, by sitting in the bucket we keep the bark in...barking mad!

Don't laugh at his bald patch!

19th January 2026...deer 🦌

15th January 2026... Gecko, Charlie.

I found this little chap just as I was going to sit on my chair, he was nice and cosy....I let him o in the veranda, hope he's ok 😂🙏

Meanwhile Buster decided what Charlie needed was a nurse cat to squash him into the box

We took Charlie to the vet 😱

The skin on his face between bottom of ear and jaw bone was dead, and she (without sedation) managed to remove it all....15 days of antibiotics, twice a day, 5 days of anti inflammatory liquid and a cream to put on the wound made of honey, lavender and thyme and worst of all a COLLAR.....he looks awful, but smells lovely.

10th January 2026...Snow & Injured Charlie 😭

Charlie was attacked by another cat😭

His face was swollen and then burst .. I thought that would be th end of it...but no....

9th January 2026... Avocados 🥑

I changed my order from medium avos to small...there are 4kg and 44 fruits in this box, some no bigger than a small plum....but so far (30th Jan) every on has been perfect.

8th January 2026...Book club meeting and crochet.

Dave and Carla joined us to make up numbers as 2 had pulled out last minute.

Annalise was crowned Queen as it was also Epiphany.

I am attempting to make some garment with these.....🤣😂🤣

7th January 2026...A drive to Mazamet

I go to see a new opthalmo in Mazamet...the weather has been awful, and here there is snow on the top.
