25th July 2022

Despite the heat, averaging 35⁰C this week, we are getting some great produce from the vegetables least affected by the sun.
Peppers we have none from any of the 12 good plants....but we have red beans and courgettes, tomatoes, basil and aubergines aplenty.

23rd July 2022

Aubergine season has really started.
I am using these to make a conserve.
Cut and boiled in cider vinegar, then put into jars and covered with olive oil.
A few leaves of tarragon and chillies added too !

A narrow boarded bee moth
Much like the hummingbird moth, but with striking colours.

21st July 2022

First supercrop of tomatoes for the freezer.

6 new containers to join the 15 left from last year...which is just as well, as due to drought conditions the tomato plants this year are only half as tall...

20th July 2022

We say au revoir to Mike and Sarah, its been a great week, a bit warm with temperature averaging 35⁰🥵 but very enjoyable especially the monopoly deal!
À bientôt.

Mike and Dave managed to repair the top of the BBQ which the mosaic tiles had slid off the metal top, when it was propped up, then they sealed it with PVA, unfortunately it was far too hot to have a BBQ on it.
