Digger Arrives 11/10/2018

So after a weekend of drizzle, followed by a rainy Monday and torrential downpours Tuesday and Wednesday, the digger finally arrives on Thursday, only 10 days later than originally planned !
Matthew the driver unloads and arrives on site, pulls out the cherry tree, then says he will be back this afternoon.....so i have a chance to upload these pics now. He has also said if it gets too muddy he'll stop....

Date for starting has been moved to 9th October due to unforseen circumstances.ie we live in France ❤️🇫🇷

Let the demolition commence !

Dave and Mike start our project by breaking up the reservoir at the rear of the house....things don't go to well, as the top smashes in quickly, but the reinforced walls remain...reinforced.

Unfortunately the reservoir remained intact (with a few new holes !) It was an executive decision to allow the digger to remove it in 5 mins, rather than the boys in 5 days !

In the field we are buying there ia an old BMW,  a hay baler used in the 40 s or 50 s, several tree stumps and a tree....

Next to allow the digger to get to the back of the house.....this cherry tree has to be removed...
