13th July 2025.... mushroom, Chicken of the woods.

Ever since we moved here, we've been keen on hunting the mushrooms....
This particular one eluded us for ever!
We found it in very old examples, and even tried to eat those, πŸ˜‚.
This one was found by Karl, not up a tree, but growing on the forest floor... probably on an old tree stump.
At last I get my hands on,

"Chicken of the Woods."
As we were just about to leave door UK this was frozen.

At last a good drop of the wet stuffπŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦

A few days later...
Karl finds this beautiful chicken of the woods mushroom....
Unfortunately had to freeze it as we are now off to UK for a week.

4th July 2025...Some photos

Dave inherited a nice camera from his brother, and these are some of the shots we've managed so far...need some training!

We seem to have Geckos rather than lizards now πŸ€”
I particularly like this one of a hummingbird moth.
