22nd February 2026...mimosa and greenhouse

After several mimosa trees were brought down in the wind, it seems criminal not to collect some!

The remaining parts of the greenhouse...still no idea what we are going to do with it.

18th February 2026..... Chaffinch, Garden Wall, Morning mist.

We are feeding the birds on the windowsill as it's so windy....
Chaffinch, blue and great tits and maybe a nuthatch.

Bérengère built a bit more wall.... Dave hired a truck and made 3 trips to the quarry (gravel & sand mix) and one trip to Point P for more blocks. He did carefully move some of the gravel off the truck. 😱

Mist in the valley is always so Tolkienesque!

15th February 2026.....More Trees down.

Dave took a walk up the mountain from us, and soon encountered more chaos.

This is the reason we had no water for 24 hours.

Link below is an ariel view of L'espinouse, which is the closest to us, just above us.

14th February 2026...more disasters 😱

This is a pole carrying the fibre optic....
Dave's walk around the 2 villages...
All the cut trees are just on the first bend down, and these were the trees that effectively cut us all off!

Some from Cailho le bas.

This is one of the new poles made to look like wood, but are not.
The piece that is upright in the foreground, was on top of the top of the pole, with fibre holder still attached!
