What I've been doing, whilst plasterboard man is upstairs!
I used an existing canvas bag, used scraps to cover, stitched around them, added a few buttons and then lined inside with an old shirt, using the sleeve ends for internal pockets.... et voilà

11th January 2024...D day at the prefecture for Dave's Nationality test.
En route to the prefecture in Montpellier saw this fantastic trompé d'œil. (Trick of the eye) and a tram!
The inviting and lively inside of the prefecture 😁
All went well, will hear in 6-9 months.
Going home......very satisfying day, and snow at home....so need to get back.

10th January 2024... before the interview!
The night before Dave's French Nationality interview....we stayed in Montpellier the night before to relax....does he look chilled?
We were right to stay in Montpellier, as the next morning in Cailho there was 8cm of snow overnight, this photo was taken the next day.
