29th August 2022.... weather, rain at last.
We have a little rain at last, about 800litres off all roofs. However Béziers gets the worst of it!

23rd August 2022...Garden veg and fruit
Todays crop....the Aubergines white and violet, have been this size for about a fortnight, so consequently when I cut into them, they were very seedy.
Best cherry tomatoes are the ones that appeared by them themselves.
Here are some of the 14 apples on the Coxs Sunset this year, only 2 last year so must be happy 😆

20th August 2022... Rubbish sweetcorn 😱
These have not been fertilised properly, it seems the male flowers were in flower too early, and mostly missed the female strands .
Another case of premature pollinisation 🤔?

We lost a beautiful hibiscus last year which was a very similar colour, so when we saw this one...we had to have it !

The sky darkens...
There is a lot of thunder and lightning the other end of the valley.
We get about an hour of good rain...collect 600 litres in tanks.
Pluviometer says 6.5mm.

14th August 2022... Lightning strikes in Montpellier
Lightning map for Montpellier.... unfortunately we only got about ½ hour of good rain this morning, that was all...however its another 600 litres collected and a watered garden 👍🏼

The night sky as we leave for the Ardèche...not a view we usually see, as this is west facing...which is behind our mountain.
Our bees, enjoying a dish of water.....they arrived before I had put the clayballs in...so the clay balls had to be poured in very carefully!
