I grew this courge/pumpkin from the green pumpkin seeds you buy in healthfood shops....only one plant survived, just as well as it had 8 fruits!

Easy to get out of the pumpkin, et voila!

I got 160g from this one...another 7 to go, and the pumpkin made an ok soup🤪

Sunset

A pippin family apple, has produced on its first year with us. 

We had lots of flowers and it set fruit in spring.

Then as they gradually fell off...we were left with 6, then we had lots of wind!

Then there were 2, as the weather is due to change, we decided to pick them...verdict, they need to be left to sweeten a bit, the taste is fabulous.

Dave has the timber to make some more raised beds... yippee 😁

He also bought some old volet (shutters) which hopefully, will become a door for the arch behind him.

First sighting of a swallowtail butterfly...very late, and its small.😟

This sweetcorn was certainly not going to let go of his water supply!💦

Our Sunset Pippin, which I planted last year, in memory of my father...had about 6 apples, but lost 4 in the wind...as we have heavy rain predicted we'll probably pick these soon.
