29th December 2025.....winter view from Cailho

View, Buster and the moon!

Beautiful blue skies today.

25th December 2025...Snow and lunch at Le Taj.

IT'S CHRISTMAS 🎄 

A few flakes on the Velux at 7h30.....they soon disappeared!

We debated after all the rain and with a weather warning in Béziers, if we should cancel our Christmas lunch...

The sun came out, and although we wore our "going out" clothes, we had a stash of warm and waterproof ones in the car!

Some rivers were a bit high....

Lunch of Madras at Le Taj Mahal..... (yes Dave had that too) Was delicious and we left sated and happy 😁 

Some waterways in Béziers were a bit higher, but the bigger problem is south of Béziers were whole villages are under flood water.

22nd December 2025.... A little Snow

We have a little scattering of snow ❄️ ❄️

Dave is up for a walk...so we take a gentle stroll...

21st December 2025.....still raining!

13th-17th December 2025... Dave hospitalised!

Cloud in the valley 

Dave complaining of stomach pains for several days, not eating much at all.

We go to emergency in Castres (which although further away, is definitely the best)

We wait 4 hours to see a doctor, it a Saturday!!

When we do see a doctor , they diagnose that he has inflamed gallbladder AND appendix!

They want to operate that night, but as he is taking blood thinners , they wait until Sunday morning.

He texted me at 14h on Sunday 14th and said.... I've been done! 👍

Later I start recieving, photos of his..."not too bad " 3 course meals....

Day one soup and yoghurt!

Meanwhile torrential rain at Cailho...Karl brings me shopping and brings in wood for the fire.

Back home.... keeping warm and dry.

Last hospital meals...

He's back home and has a nurse visit every night for a week to give him an injection and change his 6 dressings.
