27th March 2025...Garden shots

Garden will be taking on a more sedate, easy to care for attitude this year!
We've planted asparagus and hopefully soon sweet potatoes

Tomatoes if we really need them can be grown in sacs, but I feel we can buy local organically grown tomatoes etc so cheaply locally, that it's not worth the effort.
We will see..... I bet we end up with some!

Osmanthus, planted 2024...doing well, smells divine...

Mulberry trees starting to bud.
Asparagus shoots
Still looking like little worms!
It takes 3 years for a bed to establish before you can pick.

23rd March 2025...Sparrow Hawk

Found behind the house. He was flapping about and we suspected a broken wing.....aided (!) by Charlie we caught him and got him into a box to calm him down...we then tried to contact a vet or rescue centre etc....no luck, so we started to ask in the village, very fortunately Lola daughter of Alice is at Toulouse studying to be a vet.
So she came over and took him, next morning Alice came to say the wing was only bruised and he had flown off...😁😁😁🕊️🕊️🕊️
