30th August 2024...Girls leave 😭 Dave varnishes the windows

It was about 7h15!

I went back to bed!

They got to the airport on time, then there was a 2 hour delay 😡

Finally the window frames got a sand down and lasure (varnish)

applied.

29th August 2024...Gecko

This little one was in our guest bedroom, where Anne discovered it, we have moved it into the veranda area, where we have seen a bigger one....it was only about 5cm long...🦎🦎🦎

29th August 2024... Carcassonne

We took the girls to Carcassonne, found a super restaurant Le Cachier....super cool courtyard behind the restaurant...

Starter was cappachio of raw vegetables...and passion fruit sauce 👨🏽‍🍳

Main was a vegetable gnocchi made with plant based milk sauce 🥰

28th August 2024...Sam, Den and Anne come to stay.

We spent Wednesday relaxing, Dave took them walking to the olive trees.

We planted this Coxes Sunset Apple about 3 or 4 years ago, each year it has been loaded with delicious fruit.

Most of which fall off in the wind!

Found outside the side door, Dave picked it up and it squarked at him...🤣😂🤣

15th August 2024....Llbc lunch, and RAIN!

We lunched at L'Esclop in Permian (5 mins away)

I forgot to take a picture before I started eating, 😛 I had a vegan plate of aubergine, ratatouille, rice and a roast tomato.

The other 8 had menu de jour....pintade!

At last a good drop of rain, we collected 800 litres from our roofs....we are the little round orange spot at the bottom of the big red flashes!

10th August 2024... Charlie fast asleep below Dave's knees!

5th August 2024... shooting 🌠

We camped out on the upstairs terrace to watch for shooting stars, we saw a few and lots of satalites..(one string of 40!)

Also observed the False Widow Spiders.... Which were easier to photograph,😁

Arachnophobic people look away now!

2nd August 2024...a few tomatoes....

Bad year for tomato production, no one seems to have enough....maybe when it cools a bit...days of 35⁰C has left the garden dry and plants withered.
