There were more cherry tomatoes but......

We needed straw, to protect the garden from the sun.

 However the only straw we could find came in 350kg bales! 

Dave collected 2 bales, one for us, one for a neighbour. 

Then parting the two bales, proved difficult, after tipping the trailer didn't work, Dave managed to put two pieces of ply board between them. With great success! 

Since this day, we have had a small amount of rain. 

So the straw remains untouched...
